The following classroom posters were created to post for reference in each of the classrooms and should be reinforced throughout the year.

PLANTS AND ANIMALS 1° and 2°

In Unit 3 of Science, 1° and 2° focused on differentiating animals based on vertebrates and invertebrates and then recognizing characteristics of each, including reproduction (oviparous, viviparous, ovoviviparous). Students worked with parts of plants to identify parts and functions. In addition to the physical materials, new vocabulary is emphasized with flashcards and interactive games, as well as supplmentary materials by primary teacher.  Vertebrates and Invertebrates:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eI9W6SDaaOgDMwhADoCMZtRcEg2ulyd6/view?usp=sharing  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yKVr7j68w5iS7zAbXtKQZk4KvguS63Q4/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yNECPsCQTEbfdsxXx-FZEi4zYvDn4hvw/view?usp=sharing Parts of a plant:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/11sQOiAdqVs2Fo7m_RN3LQ6rUctvWHHXu1g3Q_DiePZ4/edit?usp=sharing

PLANTS AND ANIMALS- 4° and 5°

In Unit 3, Natural Science, students are looking to classify animals and plants by nutrition, reproduction and interaction. Students should be able to identify types of vertebrates and invertebrates and list characteristics of each. In addition, multiple "escemas" were utilized in class to help students visualize categorical differences. One of the most common traditions in the US is decorating homes and schools with excess Christmas de...
